Our story

It started with a forest, not a furniture shop

In 1995 Raul Hernandez and three friends, Frank Marrero, Ian Morris and Terry Patten, began restoring a parcel of Redwood forest in Northern California that had been logged hard in the 1960s and '70s. The furniture and shade structures came later. The forest is still the reason.
